EXCLO is a lifestyle brand whose goal is to inspire people to lead happy lives. We believe that sustained happiness can be found through:

1) Self Awareness

2) Connecting with Others

3) Giving Back to Those in Need

Our story began on September 2013, when co-founder Cesar Ortiz was inspired to celebrate his birthday by giving back to his community. With the help of his close friends, they organized a lunch packing and distribution event and gave to those in need in Downtown San Diego. The following year, they were inspired to do it again and more lunches were distributed.

In September 2015, they celebrated by dedicating some time to help enrich the lives of impoverished orphans in Mexico.

In September 2016, Cesar decided to create a full-blown charity event with his friends, called Comrade Cup for Charity. The premise would be that participating friends would donate to a communal charity pool at the beginning of the day and then participate in a set of outdoor activities wherein they would compete with and against other groups of our friends. By the end of the competition, the winning team would select a charity to donate the donations received that day. 

The event was a success and we all had such an incredible time connecting with one another while giving back. It was a day full of smiles and happiness. 

Throughout the years we noticed how amazing it felt to take the time and energy to dedicate a part of our lives to others. Through those experiences, we experienced personal growth while bonding further with one another.

We realized how special those experiences were and wanted to find a way to continue to expand that idea beyond one day out of the year. Through these events we found that we were truly happy through three common themes: 1) Personal growth 2) Connecting and 3) Giving back.

And so, Life in Exclo was born. Exclo is a representation of those ideals, and is ultimately meant as an inspiration to lead happy lives throughout the year.
